Before Your Appointment
Use Olive Oil Ear Drops for 2 to 3 Nights Beforehand
This softens the wax so removal is quicker, more comfortable, and far more likely to clear both ears in a single visit. Olive oil ear drops cost a couple of pounds from any pharmacy or supermarket — there's no need for anything expensive or medicated.
Their booking system puts it this way: “Please prepare your ears by using olive oil drops for 2-3 nights prior to your appointment.”

- It's a short appointment. The clinic books a 15-minute slot for wax removal, including the examination before and after.
- Both ears are checked and treated in the same visit, so there's nothing extra to book.
- A hearing health screen is included, so you'll leave knowing how your hearing is doing as well as with clear ears.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
- Allow around an hour. We don't rush this, and there's time for all your questions.
- Bring someone with you if you can — a partner, friend or family member. They often notice things you don't, and it helps to have a second pair of ears when we go through the results.
- Bring a list of any medication you take, and let us know if you've had ear surgery or ear problems in the past.
- Nothing about the test is invasive or uncomfortable, and there is no obligation to buy anything.
